# How to Ask a Question

**Be Kind, Polite and Respectful**
Please remember that you’re asking for volunteers to help you on their own limited free time. Saying “hi” and “thank you” really warms their heart!
**Use Up-to-Date Versions**
Please make sure to use the latest version of Gatling, in particular if you think you’ve found a bug. This bug might have already been fixed. Gatling developers won’t have time to dig into old versions.
**Provide a Reproducer**
If you think you’ve found a bug, please provide a [reproducer](https://stackoverflow.com/help/minimal-reproducible-example) so Gatling developers can investigate. Otherwise, they won’t be able to search a needle in a haystack and figure out if the issue is really in Gatling or in your own system.
