# HTTP/2

Is Gatling likely to support HTTP/2 in the near future?

Not in the near future, but it will, of course.

Yes, the spec was announced as done today by the IESG, but there’s still a long way to go before it becomes a widely used technology with stable implementations that can be used for production…

Regarding HTTP/2 support in Gatling, things will work this way:

Waiting for stable HTTP/2 support in Netty =\> Implement HTTP/2 support in AsyncHttpClient =\> Implement HTTP/2 support in Gatling

Quite some work 🙂

Does your company already have some plans for HTTP/2? Are you already playing by implementations of the drafts?
