I think it's because I am behind firewall. To connect to Internet, we have to hop thru proxy. Can we make it independent of load test runs, as in if we doesn't connect then keep going.
+1 on disabling google analytics by default.
This just slows things down behind firewalls. Is there a financial aspect here, or why is this turned on by default?
The slow down is fixed in master.
Getting such analytics helps us a lot for making important decisions, such as dropping JDK7 support.
As most people only subscribe to mailing lists with “No email” delivery (you, for example), we have no way of efficiently asking users for feedback.
We did tried with this mailing list and with Twitter, but sadly only got a few answers.
If you have an issue with those stats, you can turn them on.
