I have a gatling ec2 instance and I run my test from its frontend address. Not used it for like 2 years. Now I am having issues authenticating to github. How can I configure gatling to use environment variuables where I can pass in the github token please
fatal: Authentication failed for 'https://github.com
Could you please elaborate on how your question is related to Gatling?
It feels like it’s actually about performing some git task.
In this case, you should probably ask on StackOverflow or check the GitHub documentation.
It is happening when gatling is trying to clone the git repository where the test files are
Open-source Gatling (where you’ve create this thread) doesn’t have any git clone feature.
Are you using Gatling Enterprise? If so, could you please reach out on the support portal?
Thanks Slandelle. Not sure the excat version I am using. I saw on the frontline FrontLine Version:1.12.1 and gatling Version: 3.4.1.FL-M4
I’m afraid we can’t help you with a version that’s so lagging behind.
The latest Gatling Enterprise Self-Hosted, previously known as FrontLine, is 1.20.1.
The latest Gatling version is 3.10.4.
The version you’re using was released more than 3 years ago and I suspect you’re facing a bug that was fixed a long time ago.
If you’re using the AWS MarketPlace, you won’t be able to upgrade as we’ve retired this offer in favor of the new product: https://cloud.gatling.io/.
You might want to discuss your issue with a sales representative. If so, please reach out on the forms or the chat on our website: https://gatling.io/.
