Post / PUT Request is it supported using JWT plugin?

Can you please confirm if the usage of JWT is supported for POST/ PUT requests too ?
The documentation on the web is dated to 2013 and it mentions about "GET only.

the last commit in JWT authentication is almost 2 years old and has a comment that states that it supports only GET. Is that the case still ?

This third party plugin was developed by Atlassian, so they are the ones who can answer this question.

At some point, we plan on having our own JWT support.
Nothing planned though. Contribs welcome.
