RC4 -Can no longer tail logs on my Mac

In RC2, I was able to tail events in simulation.log file (while the test was running locally) by opening the file with the Console app on my Mac.
It was a very easy way to monitor the event stream for certain text strings (like KO).

I upgraded to RC4, and now the Console is no longer able to tail the simulation log; the viewer stays empty until the test has finished.

Was this changed on purpose?

That’s very weird.

Are you sure you didn’t edit your gatling.conf and remove the “console” DataWriter?

I did not knowingly made any changes to that file since downloading RC4.

However, when I opened it, the ‘console DataWriter’ setting was commented out.
When I removed the ‘#’ and saved the change, the tailing ability was restored.
