Upload Gatling log files to ELK for storage?

Hi, Dear Gatling Experts,
Is simulation.log the only raw data log file we can use? Does it contain all information that the result chart need?
I want to export the logs to ELK for my own customized reporting…
eg: Compare with Load Runner, Gatling’s active user chart is not smooth… And I would also want to filter out the ramp up and ramp down stage for stable stage data.

Thanks,
Patrick

Hi,

The simulation.log format is a private format: it’s not stable and subject to change without further notice. There’s also a chance we switch some day to a binary format.

If you really want to export to an external database, FrontLine provides an API (and many more).

Gatling’s active user chart is not smooth.

The active users charts tries to mix concurrent users and arrival rate.
FrontLine has distinct charts for arrival rate, terminate rate and number of concurrent users.

And I would also want to filter out the ramp up and ramp down stage for stable stage data.
