How to record transaction on SSL sites?

I tried recording on a https site, but if I use recorder as proxy the application does not let me log in (in firefox it refuses my username/password on Chorme it does not even load the login page). I used Self-signed certificate option. Maybe I should use a certificate, but I am totally new with certificates, how they work, and how can I create one. I made “something” with firefox (exported some .crt file) but if I choose Certificate Authority it also require a Private Key, that I have no idea where should I find. So any guide, or hint what should I do, to be able to record on https sites?

I also found out, that I have some infinitely loading resources on the browsers network tab, and I tried to navigate there to accept also their certificate, but “This site uses HTTP Strict Transport Security (HSTS) to specify that Firefox only connect to it securely. As a result, it is not possible to add an exception for this certificate.”
